RPMT

Rajasthan Pre Medical Test RPMT is one of the Medical Entrance Exam in India. It is held for admission of candidates for seats in M.B.B.S. / B.D.S. / B.V.Sc. & A.H. courses in various below given Government and Private Colleges affiliated with the Rajasthan University of Health Sciences, Jaipur.

Eligibility:-

Educational Qualification:-

The aspiring candidate should have passed (and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in case of general Category and 40% in respect of candidate belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes) the Senior Secondary examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination, which is equivalent to 10+2 after a period of 12 years study, the last 2 years of study must comprise of Physics, Chemistry, Biology with English as compulsory subjects.

However for persons with locomotors disability of lower limbs, the minimum of 45% marks for General PH and 40% marks for SC-PH/ST-PH/OBC-PH are required

Note:- Where the Course content is not as prescribed for 10+2 educational structure of the National Committee, the candidate will have to undergo period of one year Pre-Professional training before admission to Medical Colleges. The Pre-Professional Course may be conducted either at a Medical College or a Science College.

Age:-

Aspiring candidates must have attained the age of 17 years on 31st December of the year of application.

Other eligibility Criteria as per certificate no 3(C) mentioned in Form A:-

I. The candidate must have studied for the last three years of qualifying examination continuously as a regular candidate in a recognised institution in Rajasthan.

II. Natural father / Mother of the candidate must be continuously residing in Rajasthan for a period of last 10 years and the candidate has studied for at least 5 years during this period in a recognised educational institution in Rajasthan.

III. All those students who are bonafide residents of Rajasthan but are studying in other states will also be eligible for appearing at Pre- Medical Test.

IV, V & VI The candidate is son / daughter of serving or retired employee of Government of Rajasthan including officers of All India Services borne on State cadres of Rajasthan or Undertaking/Corporation / Improvement Trust / Municipal Bodies duly constituted by the Government of Rajasthan by an act of Law or any of the University of Rajasthan or Secondary Board of Education (Rajasthan) provided that employee has worked in Rajasthan for three years preceding the last date of submission of the application.

VII & VIII Candidate is a son / daughter of a permanent employee of Indian Defence Serving/Retired and the employee is either of Rajasthan origin irrespective of his place of posting or is posted in Rajasthan at the time of last date of the application for admission. Provided that in case of Defence Personnel from Rajasthan origin, a certificate has to be submitted by them from the employer to the effect that his state of origin is Rajasthan at the time of his entry into service. Eligible candidates of this category shall be admitted as per laid down criteria of priority cum merit of the Pre-Medical Test.

IX & X Candidate is a son / daughter of serving / Retired person of Para-Military Forces of India and the employee is either of Rajasthan origin, irrespective of his place of posting or is posted in Rajasthan at the time of the last date of the application for admission. Provided that in case of Para-Military personal from the Rajasthan origin, a certificate has to be submitted by them from the employer to the effect that his state of origin is Rajasthan at the time of his entry into service. XI Candidate is a Son / Daughter of a Judge of Rajasthan High Court subject to the condition that he / she submits an undertaking / affidavit stating that such benefit is not being claimed or availed by them in any other State.

Admission Process

Candidates wishing to appear for this Pre Medical Test can apply by getting Application Forms available at all specified branches of OBC and sending them to the below given address full filled as mentioned herewith:-

1. The Application set is in four parts:

* The “RPMT Admission Form”, for admission to M.B.B.S./.B.D.S./ B.V.Sc. & A.H. in the State of Rajasthan;
* The “RPMT OMR Examination cum Application Form”;
* Two window envelopes for dispatching the admission card and mark-sheet and
* the large envelope for sending the filled in Rajasthan PMT form to this office. All these are supplied in another large envelope.

2. A Guide Book named “Information Booklet” containing rules and procedure etc. and a Syllabus containing model questions and model answer sheets are also supplied to be retained by the candidates for reference.

3. The candidate should fill in all the entries on form ‘A’ in his/her own handwriting using capital letters only and form ‘B’ should be filled as per instructions given on page 6 of the information Booklet to fill the OMR sheet. The candidate must paste a postal stamp of Rs. 5/- each at the place indicated on each envelope.

4. If there is any difference in data of Form A & Form B, then for the examination purpose, data in Form B will be considered final and the candidate will be responsible for the same.

5. The candidate shall send filled forms ‘A’ and ‘B’ and all envelopes to:-

6. The Rajasthan PMT form should be sent either by Registered Post/ Speed Post or it may be submitted in person in the office of the Convener RPMT.

7. The Rajasthan PMT Application Form must reach this office latest by date provided in. Application forms, for whatsoever reasons, reaching after this time and date shall not be entertained. No excuse for delay in submission of application form shall be accepted.

8. RUHS, Jaipur will not be responsible for any postal delay. Candidates are advised to send the forms well in advance considering the postal delays and time taken by postal authorities for delivery of speed post.

9. Incomplete RPMT application forms / incomplete attested enclosures with the RPMT application form will not be considered.

10. The RUHS shall not be accountable for any application form handed over personally at any place other than the RPMToffice at RUHS, Kumbha Marg, Pratap Nagar, Jaipur.

RPMT Syllabus

The RPMT contains general syllabus of relevant subjects i.e Physics, Chemistry and Biology from classes 11th and 12th under the 10+2 scheme/pre-medical/intermediate science or an equivalent examination of the State Education Board / Indian University.

Question Pattern

There will be two papers.

Paper I shall comprise of Section ‘A’ Physics and Section ‘B’ Chemistry with 50 questions from physics & 50 questions from chemistry with 150 marks of each subject.

Paper II shall comprise of Section ‘A’ Botany and Section ‘B’ Zoology with 50 questions of Botany and 50 questions of Zoology with 150 marks of each subject. Each question shall have four options to answer.

Each 2 hours question paper shall be of 300 marks and shall contain 100 objective type questions. Each question shall have four options to answer, out of which only one shall be correct. (+3) marks shall be awarded for each correct answer. ‘-1′ mark for a wrong answer and ’0′ for un attempted questions.

Bonus 3 (three) marks will be given in case of each doubtful/wrong question.

Time

RPMT entrance test is usually conducted in the first week of June of every year.

Fees

Examination fee for taking this exam is 1000/- (cost of information brochure and application form).

Centers

The examination for RPMT shall be held at the centres located in the following cities:

1. Ajmer.
2. Bharatpur.
3. Bikaner.
4. Jaipur, Jodhpur.
5. Kota.
6. Udaipur.

Note:- The choice of three centres, in order of preference, should be clearly mentioned in the form “B”. However, the University reserves the right to create a new centre or to cancel/ change the above centres and allocate any centre to the candidate as per policy decided in this regard. The decision of the University shall be final in this regard.

All candidates are required to appear at entrance examination at their own expenses.
