Applying for Admission to the B.El.Ed. Programme
(i) Before filling in the application form, candidates are advised to read the Prospectus carefully
and ensure their eligibility for admission, as per the conditions laid down in the Prospectus.
(ii) Duly completed ICR (Intelligent Computer Recogniser) application form, along with the
Acknowledgement Receipt (enclosed in the prospectus) should be submitted at the
Department of Education (CIE), University of Delhi, latest by Wednesday, June, 2020 by
4:00 p.m. No public dealing will be done on Sundays and gazetted holidays. No plea for
postal delay will be entertained.
(iii) Candidates sending application by post may use an envelope of appropriate size to contain
the envelope with ICR Form and Acknowledgement Slip. The duly filled application should
be sent by registered post and to reach the Dean, Faculty of Education, Department of
Education (CIE) University of Delhi, 33, Chhatra Marg, Delhi – 110 007, on or before Monday,
June, 2020.
Admission Procedure
• Common Entrance Examination
All admissions to the B.El.Ed. programme 2020 will be made through a Common Entrance Examination (CEE – B.El.Ed.) comprising of a Written Test and an Interview as detailed:

A. Written Entrance Test
The Written Entrance Test will consist of two sections. All sections and their parts are compulsory.
Section I
Part (a): Questions will be based on comprehension of the given context and the language aspects. This can be at the level of words, sentences or the whole text. Candidates should attempt both English and Hindi questions.
Part (b): Questions will be application based and those that entail thinking, reasoning and problem solving in mathematics. Candidates can choose to answer in Hindi or in English.
Part (c): Questions will be based on reasoning, interpretation and application of concepts. Candidates can choose to answer in Hindi or in English.
Section II
Paragraph writing on one of the given topics. The candidate is expected to write either in Hindi or in English.
B. Interview
Only a limited number of candidates short-listed on the basis of the Written Entrance Test will be called for Interview. Parameters for the Interview: Subject knowledge, oral communication ability, understanding of children and social issues, potential for critical thinking, general awareness and reading interests.
