DU CATE Eligibility | Qualification Delhi University Admission B.A. (Honours) English Entrance.
Eligibility for CATE is as per the University niles of eligibiliry for admission to any BA(l-lons) course. For calculating their aggregate marks candidates may use any one of the Ibliowing subject combinations:
I) English PLUS any 3 academic subjects (including languages)
OR
ii) English PLUS 2 academic subjects (including languages) one vocational subject (Including languages)’ candidates should have minimum of 45% marks in theClass XII board Examinations.
OBC candidates (non-creamy layer) will be given a relaxation of 10% of the minimum eligibility marks prescribed for the General category candidates. The eligibility therefore would be 40.5°/o (10% of 45 subtracted from 45%).

Children/Widows ofe ligible Armed Forces personnel (CW)will be given a concesson of 5% marks in the minimum eligibility requirements. i.e. these candidates should have scored 40% marks in their Class XII Board Examinations to be eligible tbr appearing in CATE. SC/ST candidates and Persons with Disablli(ies(PWD) are exempted from CATE. Their admission will heas perthernles ofthet’nisersity.
No rounding oti is allowed in the aggregate marks. For example. 44.9% aggregate can not be rounded 45%.
