Odisha TET (OTET) 2019-20
The Board of Secondary Education has been designated as the professional body for conducting OTET vide Notification No.8635/SME Dtd 2019-20. Detailed procedure for conducting OTET and instructions for carrying out the examination shall be issued by the BSE, Odisha. The application form for OTET shall also be prescribed by the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha.
Applicability
OTET is applicable to all candidates who possess requisite academic and training qualifications with requisite percentage of marks and to all candidates pursuing the final year of the teacher training courses before the date of publication of advertisement for conducting OTET who aspire to become teachers for Classes-I to VIII in the schools of the State Govt., private aided schools and private unaided schools in the State of Odisha. However, the candidates intending to seek employment as teachers in private un-aided schools shall also have the option of appearing at Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) conducted by Central Govt. through CBSE, if they so desire. The candidates after being qualified in OTET can also apply for further improvement.
The examination shall be conducted by Board of Secondary Education, Odisha. Detailed guidelines for conduct of examination including selection of Centers of Examination, format of Application Forms, fee structure valuation of answer sheets, declaration of results, issue of mark sheets and certificate etc. shall be framed by the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha.
