UP-TET Eligibility or Minimum Qualification for Classes VI to VIII Teacher (Upper Primary)
Graduation with atleast 50% marks (As per Govt. of India relaxation)
OR
Graduation with 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)
OR
Graduation with atleast 50% marks with 1-year Bachelor in Education (B. Ed.)
OR
Graduation with atleast 45% marks with 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.), inaccordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with atleast 50% marks with 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B. El. Ed.)
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with atleast 50% marks with 4-year B.A./ B.Sc. Ed. or B.A. Ed./ B.Sc. Ed.
OR
Graduation with atleast 50% marks with 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education)
Reservation Policy:
Relaxation up to 5% in the qualifying marks shall be allowed to candidates belonging to reserved categories, such as SC/ST/OBC/MOBC/PWD (Person With Disability) (PH)
