Animal and Fisheries Resource Department- Government of Bihar maintains the administrative control of different programmes launched under ‘Animal Husbandry’ sector. Its activities in brief covers animal health care, livestock product and development, disease diagnostic programmes and animal welfare by implementing “Prevention of Cruelty to Animal, Act” to name a few.
Govt of Bihar has received a loan from International Development Association (IDA) towards the cost of the Bihar Kosi Basin Development Project (BKBDP) (Project ID No. 127725), for development of Kosi Basin Area under “Bihar Kosi Basin Development Project” (BKBDP). Animal & Fisheries Resources Department, Gov of Bihar, has been accredited to implement the part of project i.e. activities related to animal & fish resources. The project will be implemented in Saharsa, Madhepura, Supaul, Purnea and Araria districts of Bihar.
Implementation units at State/District and Block level are to be structured for proper implementation, Management and monitoring of the proposed activity under the Project component. Animal & Fisheries Resources Department, GoB, invites application for following positions.
